Foodie Friday ~ I'm Very Fond of Tea

Image
Welcome Foodie Friday Blog Hoppers! Peppermint Tea Location: Room Service, Dining Rooms and Drink Stations, Disney Magic Cost: Included in Cruise Fare So for all of the coffee drinkers on the ship there is a full on café to meet your every whim. But for those of us on the tea drinking side, we luck into getting our drink of choice included pretty much all over the ship. Ahhhhh. After pretty nearly every meal on board I'll enjoy a nice cup of tea (almost always peppermint) and feel super civilized. At home I rarely (if ever) drink any kind of tea. It's super easy to make tea, it's just a matter of taking the time to sit, relax and go through the process. Now that I think of it, I feel like it is more special to me because I only ever drink tea on vacations! Do you have any foods you save for vacation?

The Royal Treatment ~ Diana's Journal ~ Very Early Tuesday

Image
As much as I felt blessed to enjoy our cruise, sharing it with family made it all the more magical! Diana (my mother in law) graciously allowed me to share her journal entries from each day of our cruise as both a sum up from that day, and a separate trip report in their own right. This is Part of an Ongoing Trip Report "The Royal Treatment" additional sections of this report can be found on the Adventures page.

Three Things Thursday ~ Pinteresting

Image
Here's one of my new favorite blog hops today: Three Things Thursday! (Be sure to link up on her blog !) Since I already have a blog (and three blogs preceding this one) what haven't I already shared? Once Upon a Time There Was a Princess Who... 1.) Spends part of every morning braiding or twisting or plaiting or combing. Kylee's requested "Elsa hair" I find it relaxing. Kylee picks something off of my Braids and Bows pinterest board and I do my best not to pull her hair too hard. If you're trying to learn to French or Dutch braid, I find practicing on the back of my own head MUCH easier than practicing on my wiggle preschooler. 2.) Never Met a Pin She Didn't Like  Seriously. Just check out my pinterest sometime if you doubt me. I definitely collect a ton of pins. (1,569 pins and counting...) Do them all loads some? Maybe. Maybe not! 3.) First started running because the Inaugural Disney Princess Half Marathon

FastPass to History ~ Photographic Evidence

Image
Hello FastPass to History Blog Hoppers! Thank you, again,  Frontierland Station for hosting this blog hop. Did you ever stop and look at the striking photographs on deck five forward? They capture various aspects of the Wonder under construction in the Fincantieri shipyards. Beautiful Bow in Progress Who did they hire to capture this momentous occasion? Turns out, nobody. These photographs mostly came from an amateur photographer with fairly nice camera equipment who basically wandered onto the yard, pretended he belonged and started taking photos. After quite a while, someone finally realized he wasn't a construction worker, imagineer or cast member they asked him to leave the premises. Black and White images from the shipyards. First they asked for his film and took down his name. On developing the film, they realized that several of the pictures were not only good, but striking. Calling him back, they asked if they could pay for the film and use it in the décor

Because all good stories start with Once Upon a Time... As much as I felt blessed to enjoy our cruise, sharing it with family made it all the more magical! The Royal Treatment ~ R is for Rice Krispy Treat

While we watched the last sodden passengers make their way up the pier, Kylee changed into her pirate garb for the evening. The rest of us decided to attend the concierge reception as we were and prepare for pirate night afterwards. Arriving to Route 66 early in our enthusiasm, we hung around and took some porthole pictures during our time waiting. Kylee in all her pirate gear Watching the waves roll into Cozumel I could have sworn that the window seats were deeper on the Magic around here. Chris and Kylee took a shot at taking our photos in a porthole as well. Hmmm. We're a little blurrier than I remember. Finally it was time to head in to the concierge reception. Diversions was all ready! Our concierge Glenn, circulated, checking if there was anything we needed and double checking that everyone knew the deck party would be held in doors due to rain. Waiters passed complimentary drinks and a buffet was served. Including Fruit, Chicken Kabobs Vegg

Tiggerific Trivia ~ The Rules of Engagement

Image
Welcome Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia blog hoppers. Thanks again to Jodi from  +Magical Mouse Schoolhouse , Heidi from  +Heidi's Head , Jenn from Disney Babies Blog  and  +Mike Ellis  for co-hosting! Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I decided to focus on one of the most romantic things that you can do at Walt Disney World Resort for no added cost...propose. Did You Know... If you have a little extra dough planned for popping the big question, you can contact Disney Fairytale Engagements (a special department of Disney Fairytale Weddings & Honeymoons) where a Dream Maker (no not Dreamfinder, Dream Maker) will help you plan out the perfect location, flowers, timing, etc. to ask your princess (or prince) to marry you. For those going the less elaborate (read free, beyond admission and a ring) route, there are tons of lists on line for ideas . My Happily Ever After With so many romantic places to propose on property and the hundreds of p

The Royal Treatment ~ R is for Rain Delay

To catch up on previous installments of "The Royal Treatment" surf over to the "Adventures" tab . As Diana, Kylee, Ben and I took our seats in Studio Sea, we noticed that it seemed a little abandoned. The lights shone, the televisions played "Sofia the First" and the cast members continued to drill outside the portholes. Several other families join us in sitting around chatting as the younger members of our party indulge in some cartoons. Apparently this is comfortable. Finally, just before charades scheduled start time an entertainment cast member comes sliding into the room. She says "Wonderful! So are you all here for the tour?" Um...no? She asks what activity we were expecting. Disney Charades. She pulls out a schedule, says "Just a moment, please!" and scampers off. A minute or two later a second cast member comes in and asks us if we are familiar with the rules of charades. He runs through the rules (standard chara
