Happy Birthday Ahsoka!

Image
My daughter is thrilled and very excited to add "Jedi Training Academy" to her must do list for our next trip to Disney's Hollywood Studios. So I couldn't resist getting my youngling her very own Ahsoka hoodie for her birthday. Happy Birthday, little padawan. I'm so glad that Ashley Eckstein (who, incidentally also voices the character Ahsoka in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series) features all the cute and girly clothes a little girly Star Wars fan might want. So I tweeted this photo of Kylee on her birthday. Add caption Ashley, being an awesome human being, tweeted back to with her a Happy Birthday. I told Kylee. WHATTTTT!?! She wants to know when she'll be old enough for her own twitter feed so that "I can be friends with Ahsoka too. The #DisneySide is strong with this one. Thank you again, for making her birthday super special!

Happy Birthday Mickey!

The Royal Treatment ~ R is for Room Service

Image
Diana headed back to our stateroom for a post-brunch nap. We planned to join her after checking on the children in the Oceaneer Club and Lab. Chris loved hanging in the Lab and enjoyed his lunch (they delivered the kids' allergy safe meals). Kylee, not so much. She wanted to head back to the stateroom and get room service. Ten minutes later and a Uncrustable (packaged PB&J sandwich) and French fries showed up at the door. Yum. With ketchup and chips. Hanging out on the verandah. May have just eaten a bunch of French fries. Possibly. I sat with Kylee and Ben for a bit until Glenn stopped by to see how Kylee had enjoyed her birthday so far, drop off a birthday button and to point out that our doorbell played "Happy Birthday to You." How neat is that? Kylee seemed sleepy (perhaps from falling out of bed at 4:30) and a little grumpy so Ben and I took turns snuggling and watching the waves roll by on the verandah. "I fell down! I was trying to cli...

Fastpass to History ~ Mickey's Other Party

Image
Hello FastPass to History Blog Hoppers! Thank you Frontierland Station for hosting this blog hop! As Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party wraps up, I would like to take the time to look back and remember two other hard ticketed events that have gone the way of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. E-Ride Nights From 1997-2004, this hard ticket event, available for purchase by resort guests offered an additional three hours in the Magic Kingdom "after hours." Replaced by evening Extra Magic Hours, this offered an experience of many of the most popular rides while getting to experience a much roomier park. Think evening Extra Magic Hours, for a fee, but capped out at 5,000 guests. Disney's Pirate and Princess Party Offered on varying dates between January and June starting during 2007, this party featured an emphasis on classic Disney princesses and Pirate of the Caribbean. In 2008, it underwent a rename as Mickey's Pirate and Princess Party, but after 2009, sa...
