Now With Added Pixie Dust | Top 10 Posts of 2014

Two years into this blog and I've gained a lot of friends, a lot of tips and adventured all over in the process! Rather than wrapping out the year with a whimper, I'm looking back on the top ten posts of 2014.  (Honestly who doesn't love a good list?)

You've made it through all of this year's obstacles, time to celebrate!

Can you think of a better way to launch into a brand new year than with a little extra pixie dust?
If you missed them the first time around, give them a click. If you've already read them all, please skip down to the comments and let me know which one you liked the most!

10.) The Beginner's Guide to Disney Cruise Line
Ever wonder exactly how you get from "I think it might be nice to actually try out a Disney Cruise" to actually counting down the days until embarkation? This is the least you need to know to figure out the when and how of booking and packing. It's a good place to start.

9.) Dollars and Sense | Is Disney Cruise Line "Worth It"
A perennially popular post (say that three times fast!) that covers the nuts and bolts of cost versus value. If you've ever wondered if it's really "worth it" to "splurge" on a Disney Cruise, this does a pretty good job explaining the difference between DCL and other vacation options (be they other cruise lines or a land based Disney adventure.)
Spoiler alert!
I think it's *definitely* worth it!

8.) First Things First | Embarkation Day 101
What to expect on embarkation day from boarding the ship through muster drill and sailaway!

7.) Ten (More) Things to Know Before Your First (Disney) Cruise
Do I really need a passport? Sea sickness medication side effects?  How much time in the Oceaneer Club is too much?

6.) Hidden Pixie Dust | DCL Edition
Free and nearly free things a little off the beatern path, including decoding secret messages, participating in a free runDisney 5K and eating a snack that's, dare I say it, better than a Mickey Bar courtesy of room service.

5.) Dollars and Sense | Disney Cruise Line on a Dime
My top ten fourteen dollar saving tips for any Disney Cruiser. Taking a cruise is sublime. Saving eighty percent off of rack rate? That's magical.

4.) FastPass to History: Fish Extender Edition
What is a fish and why exactly does it need extending?
Here's the inside scoop on where the FE came from, how to join one and what FE groups do to spread pixie dust!

Everyone loves getting free stuff, after all!
3.) Another 10 Things to Know Before Your First Cruise
Anything worth doing is worth overdoing! Apparently y'all agree as the third post in the 10 Things to Know Before Your First Cruise post made spot number three on my popular posts list!

Part Three!

Find out why you should take a cruise with sea days, what's a dummy date and how your iPhone alarms can keep you from missing the boat (literally.)

2.) Disney Cruise Line 101 | What Not to Wear
It seems like the number one question I get from friends going on their first cruise is dress code related. All of those reruns of the Love Boat have many people convinced that cruising attire is all black ties and evening gowns.

No one want to be a "What Not to Wear" example.
This simply isn't true.
If you've ever wondered if Polos and a button down fit into "cruise casual" or "semi-formal" on the Disney Magic, you've come to the right post.

and last but not least, my most popular post of the year:

1.) Ten Things to Know Before Your First Cruise
From what to pack in a day bag to where to find free Wi-Fi in foreign ports of call, this is the beginning of the "Top 10 Things to Know Before Your First (Disney) Cruise" list.

Going forward into the next year, what I'd like to ask is this:
What do you want me to talk about?
I'm opening the floor to you, so ask me anything!
Please let me know in the comments or on the Facebook page.

Wishing you a happy, healthy and magical New Year!
