Foodie Friday ~ I Want Candy!
Welcome Foodie Friday Blog Hoppers!
(I'm betting that song is now stuck on a loop in your head. For those of you who don't recall it, check out YouTube. We'll wait. Okay, now does everyone have it stuck in their head just like I do?)
Candy!
Location: Fish Extender, Disney Wonder
Cost: However much you put into your FE gifts.
(For those who are confused as to what the Fish is and why it needs extending, check out my handy primer on the ins and outs in FastPass to History ~ Fish Extender Edition)
We debarked from the Disney Wonder over a week ago, but thanks to the tremendous generosity of the people in our fish extender, we are stocked with candy well through Easter.
Baby Ruths, Nerds, Butterfingers, Gummy Bears, Smarties, Life Savers, Tootsie Pops, Airheads, Nerds, Gum, Ring Pops, Starbursts, Suckers, Skittles, M&Ms, chocolates and (presumably not for the kids) a bottle of wine flooded in to our stateroom.
Now at home my kids don't eat very many sweets, so they view this as a super big deal. Given the brevity of the trip, I let them get super sugared up and swim it off in the pool or run wild in the Oceaneer Club.
What candy came out on top in this Vanellope VonSchweetz worthy haul?
Among the treats, several packets of Disney Jelly Bellys ranked high on the yum list. The Evil Apple Mix (featuring the Wicked Queen from Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs) with it's assortment of apple flavored beans didn't even make it all the way to the theatre.
If you could pick only one kind of candy to eat for the rest of your life, what would you eat?

Kylee, sorting her spoils. Candy gets sorted by allergy, writing, coloring and makeup go in her purse and toys and wrapping go everywhere. |

Cinderella Jelly Bellys I didn't get to try any of these, but I've heard they were delicious. |

That looks like the loot my kids come home with from our town parade! LOL Thanks for posting about the Fish Extenders - I heard so much about them but really had no clue how the process worked. Whatever would I do without you?
ReplyDeleteThat's part of one day. Really these get ridiculous. We were swapping with thirty five rooms.
DeleteOoh! Look at all that candy.
ReplyDeleteAnd, as for the song I Want Candy -- this is the version *I* know! Gotta love the early 2000s!

Yep! Me too.
DeleteYou're so lucky! While we got some candy, we didn't get as much as you guys did in your Fish Extender. It's such a great activity to participate in while cruising.
ReplyDeleteWe had 35 staterooms participate, so it was pretty crazy and the FE gifts were quite generous!
DeleteThank you!
