Foodie Friday ~ Mickey Pizza
Welcome Foodie Friday Blog Hoppers!
Mickey Pizza
Location: My Kitchen, Texas, Y'all
Cost: Hugs and Kisses
There comes a time in every Disney fans life. A time when your previous trip has been reported, scrapbooked and blogged and your countdown to the next Disney vacation still seems interminable. That's when I start breaking out my own personal supple of pixie dust in the form of baked goods.
On a recent run by our local HEB (an Austin based widespread Texas grocer) I hit the mother lode in terms of gluten free new to our area products. Tyson (gluten free) chicken nuggets, Pillsbury (gluten free) chocolate chip cookie dough and Pillsbury (gluten free) dough quickly jumped into my cart and I headed home, curious as to what I might make with the dough.
My son, Chris, the reason for my sudden interest in gluten free products, insisted we try out the dough immediately, preferably in pizza form.
So after a quick prebake of the pizza shell, I added some (gluten free) pizza sauce
and some (gluten free) cheese
And popped it back into the oven to finish baking.
Then it was time to see what Chris thought of his Mickey Pizza.
Chris loved it!
After all, all food tastes better when Mickey shaped, right?
Now if I can only figure out how to make broccoli shaped like Mickey...

All melted, but would it be tasty? |

That is a great Disney fix! I'll have to look for the ingredients and try it. Our local store is starting to expand their Gluten free offerings, so there is hope:)
