The Only Thing Constant is Change - How to Modify Your Stateroom Reservation Online
If you're like me and find yourself wanting to change your reservation there is are a couple quick and easy ways to do it.
My first choice in this situation is to call up Disney Cruise Line directly. They can be easily reached at (800) 951-3532 on weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. EST and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the weekends (also EST).
Unfortunately, if you're using a travel agent, all adjustments must be made through them rather than Disney whether by phone or computer.
Let's pretend for some reason (like, say, the recent release of the 2015 holidays itineraries jamming the phone lines or a sudden severe bought with laryngitis) you would rather adjust your dates or rooms on the computer.
It is easy, peasy to adjust your cruise vacation yourself.
All Castaway Club Members:
1) Sign into the Castaway Club (Castaway Club link at the top of Disney Cruise Line's website) and click on "View Your Cruises."
2) Select the cruise you wish to modify and click on the reservation number.
3) Click on the "Reservation Summary" box.
4) Under Cruise Details, next to your confirmation number, click on "Modify"
5) From this "Modify a Reservation" page, you can change your stateroom within your category, upgrade or downgrade your stateroom, make special requests (for dietary needs, cribs, bedrails, etc.), add a party member (if there is room in your stateroom and on the ship), add information about each guest to make the online check-in process smoother, even change the itinerary or ship you're sailing on entirely.
6) Once you're happy click on "Review Changes" at the bottom of the screen.
7) Review the side by side comparison of your reserved cruise and the changed reservation. This is your last opportunity to "Accept Changes" or to keep you existing cruise by clicking "Cancel Changes".
If you are not a Castaway Club member but already have a Disney login registered from using Disney.com, Disneyland.com, etc. you can go to the login link at the top of Disney Cruise Line's website and log in using your Disney login information.
If you are not a Castaway Club member and do not have any form of Disney/ESPN/ABC login, you get to register for a login. You'll find this at the Register link.
