I love this photo from my first ever cruise! The fact is, there are not just  Ten Things to Know Before Your First Disney Cruise or even   Ten MORE Things to Know Before Your First Cruise  but I just kept going and came up with:   All I can say is it's a good thing I have a Disney Blog or I think my husband might get very overwhelmed by my #DisneySide. Here's one of my new favorite blog hops today: Three Things Thursday!  (Be sure to link up on her blog !) Since I already have a blog (and three blogs preceding this one) what haven't I already shared? Once Upon a Time There Was a Princess Who... 1.) Spends part of every morning braiding or twisting or plaiting or combing.  Kylee's requested "Elsa hair" I find it relaxing. Kylee picks something off of my Braids and Bows pinterest board and I do my best not to pull her hair too hard. If you're trying to learn to French or Dutch braid, I find practicing on the back of my own head MUCH easier than practicing on my wiggle preschooler. 2.) Never Met a Pin She Didn't Like  Seriously. Just check out my pinterest sometime if you doubt me. I definitely collect a ton of pins. (1,569 pins and counting...) Do them all loads some? Maybe. Maybe not! 3.) Last August, I ran across a pin on pinterest touting the idea that: " If you write a letter to your child's favorite Disney character they will write back and send an autographed picture. Our Letters The address shown in the original pin is: Attn: (Disney Character) Walt Disney World Communications PO Box 10040 Lake Buena Vista, FL 32380-0040 As I  blogged at the time , we weren't certain we would get any response (especially from Luke Skywalker), but the kids really enjoyed writing letters to their favorite Disney friends.  Interestingly enough, Rapunzel did show up on our cruise. Well guess how surprised I was when in the mail yesterday, what should appear but two large postcards for our kids?  Kylee is still busy celebrating her birth day month. Are these in response to the letters they wrote in August? Are they because we recently returned from a Disney cruise? Honest...

I'm particularly curious about the Luke Skywalker letter as he is a "new to Disney" friend.  Even if we don't get a response, the kids had a blast writing to their favorite Disney friends!   Have you ever tried this out?

Do you remember back to the picture from  Wordless Wednesday August Calendar  at the beginning of the month? My August Photo   Malorie  commented, "I hope this is in a really big frame somewhere." Well thanks to pinterest , some spare change from the couch, OfficeMax, Home Depot plenty of ventilation! a little bit of duct tape (picture by Kylee, age 4) and detailed directions from Mandy from Sugar Bee crafts , it is!  My craft room/office/DCL memory bank And so is another picture of her brother as well.  Opposite wall of my office. I'm looking into redoing our whole  office   master suite house in "Disney Cruise Line." Does anyone know where you can get one or two of the steamer trunk cabinets?  Or linens? I love Pinterest!  For those of you unfamiliar with the magic of Pinterest, it is, in it's own words, "a tool for collecting and organizing the things you love." I've used it to plan and execute a complete transformation of my daughter's bedroom from her Winnie the Pooh Nursery days to her current enchanted forest, create cute teacher gifts and even collect an amazing array of fonts.
