Image
Two years into this blog and I've gained a lot of friends, a lot of tips and adventured all over in the process! Rather than wrapping out the year with a whimper, I'm looking back on the top ten posts of 2014.  (Honestly who doesn't love a good list?) You've made it through all of this year's obstacles, time to celebrate! Can you think of a better way to launch into a brand new year than with a little extra pixie dust? If you missed them the first time around, give them a click. If you've already read them all, please skip down to the comments and let me know which one you liked the most! 10.) The Beginner's Guide to Disney Cruise Line Ever wonder exactly how you get from "I think it might be nice to actually try out a Disney Cruise" to actually counting down the days until embarkation? This is the least you need to know to figure out the when and how of booking and packing. It's a good place to start. 9.) Dollars and Sense | I...

Five Minutes to Fairytale Photos ~ Seeing Double

Image
I think that the magic of a Disney vacation exists in three wonderful parts: the dreaming of planning, the pixie dust moments during trip itself and the memories you take with you for years to come. Since I can't live in the Cinderella Castle Suite or even on property year round, pictures help bring a bit of the fairytale back into my everyday life. In my enthusiastic pursuit of remembering the Magic, I take hundreds thousands of my own pictures every vacation and hope to share a bit of my experience with you. If you've been paying attention in my trip reports, you'll notice that sometimes my vacation pictures may go a little odd and occasionally leave you seeing double. Why? Well, sometime on my first cruise Ben took a picture of me. Just watching the ocean I rather loved the view of the ocean and it was a neat way to remember my first cruise. Trying to replicate the photo on our second cruise with me at the edge of a panorama shot at the front...

Top 10 Posts in 2013

Looking back at 2013, it's easy for me to see how much fun and enjoyment I gained by joining the Disney blogging community. Y'all rock! To think a year ago, I contented myself with communicating on DISboards and lurking on PassPorter rather than really charging into the share-athon that is this magical blogging community. I've really come to look forward to reading and keeping up with my Disney family and hope that in some small way you guys like keeping up with our pixie-dust craziness as well. Without further ado (and totally brought on by Heidi Strawser's post yesterday) we will be counting down the top posts from twenty thirteen that gained popularity (notoriety?) on this blog. If you missed them the first time around, give them a peek. If you've already read them all, please skip down to the comments and let me know which one you liked the most! 10.) "Why Did They Have To Play The Goodbye Song?"

Saturday Ben beat me to the run and I enjoyed a bit of a lie in with the kids.   Always our favorite deck! We're kind of in love with Deck 4 I’m guessing Ben had to hold the iPhone over his head to capture this angle from his deck four run as we were pulling between Galveston and the mainland of Texas at dark o’clock thirty.   He’s tall, but the angle on this makes it look like he’s at least seven feet tall.   He isn’t. While on his run, Ben dropped off our feedback forms, making especially certain to mention how helpful Luis had been with Kylee’s special meals getting sent to the club as well as Beth, a counselor who Kylee adored throughout our cruise. As we stuffed PJs into our backpack for the day, Ben made passing remarks as to it being cold on deck during his run.   I didn’t have any warm coats for the kids and Kylee’s jacket disappeared into the club the day before, so it became time for me to have a massive case of mommy guilt. I figured it cou...

Foodie Friday ~ Palo Brunch Price Increase

Image
Welcome Foodie Friday Blog Hoppers! Palo Brunch Location: Palo, Deck 10 Aft, The Disney Magic Cost: $20 $25 For all Disney cruisers over 18, Palo is synonomous with attentive service, delectable dining and adult only romantic ambience. As of tomorrow's sailing on the Dream, all Palo brunch and dinner reservations will increase by five dollars. Disney plans to honor the $20 price for previously booked diners. (Score one for planning ahead!) So once again, we're back to the old million dollar question. Is Palo worth it for brunch? Memo to me, get a panorama of the buffet next cruise. Palo brunch consists of a buffet of various freshly baked breads, rolls and pastries, grilled marinated vegetables, Alaskan king crab legs, made to order pizzas, smoked salmon, pancakes, tiramisu, lemon meringue, cold cuts, marinated artichokes, cheeses and more desserts and tarts than you could ever eat. Hot dishes made fresh to order include the beloved chicken parmesan, pastas of ...
