Happy Birthday Ahsoka!

Image
My daughter is thrilled and very excited to add "Jedi Training Academy" to her must do list for our next trip to Disney's Hollywood Studios. So I couldn't resist getting my youngling her very own Ahsoka hoodie for her birthday. Happy Birthday, little padawan. I'm so glad that Ashley Eckstein (who, incidentally also voices the character Ahsoka in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series) features all the cute and girly clothes a little girly Star Wars fan might want. So I tweeted this photo of Kylee on her birthday. Add caption Ashley, being an awesome human being, tweeted back to with her a Happy Birthday. I told Kylee. WHATTTTT!?! She wants to know when she'll be old enough for her own twitter feed so that "I can be friends with Ahsoka too. The #DisneySide is strong with this one. Thank you again, for making her birthday super special!

I Have a Bad Feeling About This

With Star Wars Weekends upon us, one can never be too careful. According to the Harrisburg Pennsylvania police , this stick figure family may be doing damage to your family unit.    Do? Or Do Not? Actually, not the Solos in particular, but any stick figure family. By letting criminals know how many people are in your family, whether you have a dog etc. they caution that you could be setting yourself up as a target. Our stick figure family does let possible perpetrators know that my husband is a complete nerd and so am I and our two children. Also that we don't care much if you know. You could figure out the same thing if you saw us in person on any given day I don't view any of this as particularly private information, hence the stickers, but if you do, maybe skip the stick figure family.

Dark Side Gingerbread Cookies Location: My Kitchen, Texas, y'all Cost: Time, love and a couple Imperial Credits In honor of National Cookie Day, we spent an afternoon earlier this week making some gingerbread cookies. As I tweeted on Wednesday, #ThanksToStarWars my children prefer their gingerbread a little bit on the dark side. Thankfully, I've adapted a lovely gingerbread man recipe that is both Gluten Free and vegan, since that's how the Sith roll these days. Dark Side Gingerbread Cookies - GF, Vegan, Dairy, Nut, Egg Free Ingredients 3/4 cup vegan margarine, softened (we use Earth Balance) 1 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup black-strap molasses 1 Tablespoon Ener-G Egg Replacer and 1/4 cup warm water 2 3/4 cup Gluten Free All Purpose Flour Mix (we like Bob's Red Mill) 2 teaspoons baking soda ½ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground ginger 1 teaspoon cinnamon (or a smidge more if you like spice.) Extra flour ...
